The pictures truly do not do this place justice. Our group of 11 stayed here, and it exceeded every expectation we had. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful outdoor getaway without sacrificing comfort and terrific amenities. One thing the listing doesn’t fully capture is just how much there is to do on the property. There are several miles of wooded trails that are perfect for side-by-sides and other off-road vehicles. The owners describe them as ungroomed, but we never had any issues navigating them. The trails ended up being one of the biggest highlights of our trip. The river was just as impressive. During our stay it was approximately 7–9 feet deep in the center and 2–3 feet along the banks, making it easily navigable for our 18-foot Boston Whaler. We explored miles of river, and the water was crystal clear with almost no current, making it perfect for boating, kayaking, swimming, and simply relaxing. We didn’t have a chance to fish ourselves, but several people we met along the river were catching bass. The owners also provide plenty of kayaks, fishing gear, and other water equipment so everyone has a way to enjoy the river. The Riverhouse itself was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out with multiple seating areas, making it easy for our group to spread out while still spending time together. It has just the right touch of luxury while still fitting the natural setting. The bunkhouse was another favorite, giving everyone a fun place to gather late into the evening for ping pong, games, and hanging out. The heated pool was another huge surprise. The pictures don’t convey just how nice it really is. The surrounding deck creates an incredible space to relax, and the entire setup is beautifully done. Every person in our group commented on how impressed they were, and it was easily the nicest above-ground pool and deck any of us had ever seen. It quickly became one of our favorite places to spend time together after being out on the trails or the river. Another thing we loved was how private the property is. It truly feels secluded, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors without feeling crowded or overlooked. The kitchen had everything we needed for a large group, the Wi-Fi worked great throughout our stay, and while cell service could be spotty at times, it honestly encouraged everyone to unplug and enjoy the property. Finally, the property managers were incredibly friendly and responsive. Check-in and check-out were simple, and they made the entire process effortless. Every single person in our group left talking about how incredible The Grand Riverhouse was. It’s rare to stay somewhere that exceeds the listing, but this place absolutely does. We’d return in a heartbeat, and if you’re considering booking it, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

The entire trip was absolutely perfect from the moment we entered the property. Surrounded by the beauty of nature that God blessed us with and just soaking in the peace that is instantly felt. Being here allowed quality time between my family, friends and I. The Grand Riverhouse offers all the amenities and so much fun things to do for the perfect adventure! Kayaking, trailing, swimming in the heated pool, bonfires, star gazing, fun games in the bunkhouse, etc. There is always something to do and enjoy. The house itself was beautiful, well-maintained, and peaceful. The travelhouse is spacious and cozy. The only thing I didn't like was needing to leave. I was there for a retreat. The view was breathtaking. Looking out at the river enjoying nature that God has created. The house was just as beautiful Offering comfort and peace, a home away from home with all the amenities.There is so much to enjoy with your family. Walking the trails, kayaking, fishing, or simply having family fun in the bunkhouse or looking at the stars around a fire. A place that makes you forget that your electronic exists. The grand River house was absolutely amazing! It had so many family fun friendly things to do for all ages! We kayaked for hours on the river! We saw tons of deer, turkey, turtles, snakes and so much more wild life .. the grand River house was a true privilege for us to be able to enjoy!
